Winter-Spring News from the New Folk Ensemble

Hello Friends!

We’re excited to return to the concert stage again in March and April at three great venues in the Los Angeles area.  First up is The Grand Annex in San Pedro, California for a St. Patrick’s Day Eve show on March 16.  This show will be a rousing Celtic and Appalachian romp complete with Irish dancers, jigs and reels!  We’re pulling out all our stories of murder and mayhem, too!  Come join us and get your green on!  There’s a good chance that this concert will be filmed for our YouTube channel, so come on over and get in the movie!  All show details are on our Calendar page.

In April, we’ve been invited back to Boulevard Music in Culver City, this time sharing the stage with the fabulous Los Angeles country powerhouse singer/songwriter Rick Shea.  That will be on April 13, so Angelenos, don’t miss it!  And earlier that same day we’ll be gracing the stage at the Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival in Newhall.  It will be a full day of music on April 13!

Looking ahead, we’ll be joining forces with the great Rita Hosking in Gilroy for a private house concert on May 4th, and I’ll be returning to the annual Dylanfest in Torrance on May 5th (their 29th year!)  And I’m thrilled that on June 22nd we’ll be playing a concert at the wonderful Four Friends Gallery in Thousand Oaks.

A heads up to all you students out there!  I’m proud to announce that I’ve been invited back for a second year to join the faculty at Joe Craven’s RiverTunes Music Camp July 22-26.  This year the camp has moved locations to the beautiful Rancho El Chorro Outdoor School near San Luis Obispo.  Six miles from Morro Bay and the beach with pleasant summer temps, abundant hiking trails, shade trees, plenty of cabins, tenting options plus limited RV, trailer and camper spaces, this natural preserve is on 250 protected acres of wilderness while a 10-minute drive to San Luis Obispo.  Visit RiverTunes Website Here!

Come see us!  Keep in touch on Our Facebook Page, and keep warm out there!
