September News

Hey there friends!  Autumn is Upon Us!

Find All New Shows on Our Calendar Page!

I was just overwhelmed with gratitude during August for a true California road trip adventure. Valhalla Tahoe with Rita Hosking and Sean Feder was a marvelous experience – a real homecoming with a gorgeous venue and a great friend Evangeline Elston. And it was so cool to play our first duo gig (Steve Rankin!).

So enjoyed sharing the stage with Rita and Sean and hearing their wonderful songs. And I got to sing with Rita on her song “California” which is a complete classic!  The stars on Lake Tahoe after the show in the solid dark blue of the night was exquisite.  Then a few days later we were in Paso Robles at the FourLanterns Winery with Mark Indictor and Fred Sanders, and joining us was Casey Biggs ~ it was wonderful to visit the Central Coast again, California’s garden of Eden. The land has been kind to us and has been showing us its beauty this month. And Miss Polly got to go with us on the second leg. She was a good traveler and had adventures of her own! Let the Autumn begin with the next adventure to come.

And we have some adventures to come as it turns out! First up is a “rock star” moment for me as I sit in with Renee & Andy & Hard Rain on their show September 14 in San Pedro’s Grand Annex devoted to Carole King’s brilliant album “Tapestry.” As of this writing, the show is sold out! I can’t wait for this one!   Next in September we’re returning to the West Valley Music Center on September 23rd to share the stage with East coast singer/songwriter David Massengill. That’s a special Sunday evening show, beginning at 7:30.

In October there are so many things happening, my head is already spinning: I’m part of the production team that is cementing the operations of the FAR-West 2018 Music Conference in Woodland Hills, California, and I’m looking forward to seeing all my friends there, as well as performing and helping the organization run smoothly. If you’re in the music business or want to be, please check out this fine gathering and consider joining us! All the info is on our Calendar page.

After the conference, Steve and I are once again joining forces with the Enterprise Blues Band as they perform mid-month at the Birmingham, England Star Trek convention. We’ll be adding a personal side trip to Edinburgh, Scotland, where I WILL sing in any pub that will have me. The old ballads will find their original homes there! Really looking forward to that unique trip.

Biggest news is our next show at the venerable venue and brilliant sound-house McCabe’s Guitar Shop on Sunday, November 11.  Visit our Calendar page and PLEASE get your advance tickets now so we can fill that wonderful room up once again in joyful sound!  Get Tickets Here Online For McCabe’s!

Thanks for reading, and we’ll see you at a show!
